Santa Ludovica is a paint made of chocolate from Vik Muniz a brasillian artist. this painting is made with leftovers of chocolate and its representing people enjoyng life. people are enjoyng life with the leftovers, things that could be used more and become trash. i can relate this with my art piece in 2D because both are critizisen the society. i criticze capitalism and socialism, proplr tend to think that one is bad, but both in extrems are bad, the perfect system is in the middle, unfortunately a coin only haves two sides. in this piece Vik muniz is criticizen society by using the left overs of chocolate, society waste a lot and dosent care what happends to it, there are some people that have to live with the leftovers of socity ans still try to be happy and smile.
this sculture is made by Juan fernando herran, a colombian artist, its name is "corona de espinas". this piece is related to my 3D project becasue its an asemblage, a collage of spikes, i did a collage of seeds. in this piece its represented pain and suffering, a crwon o spikes, the oes who wears it suffers, if is that big then everyone suffers. its difficult to understand unleess you lived in the epoca when this sculture was created, 1990, a difficult time for colombia.
